Awards
In addition to making grants to non-profit projects, THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS also give out special awards.
The Annual Award
VILLUM FONDEN confers the Villum Kann Rasmussen Annual Award in Science and Technology. The awardee is announced every year on 23 January - the anniversary of the birth of the late Villum Kann Rasmussen.
The Daylight Award
Every alternate year, THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS confer The Daylight Award jointly with the Swiss foundation VELUX STIFTUNG. The award is made in even years.
The Building Component Award
Every alternate year, THE VELUX FOUNDATIONS confer The Building Component Award. The award is presented in November in odd years.
Honorary Awards 2021
On the occasion of VELUX FONDEN’s 40th anniversary, the foundation is granting four honorary awards to researchers working within the field of gerontological and ophthalmological research.
