The Boards

The boards are self-electing on terms laid down in the Foundation statutes. A clause in the statutes prescribes that suitably broad insight must be obtained into the areas of society to which the Foundations make their donations. For the board of the VILLUM FOUNDATION, two of the members must also have or have had an association with VKR Holding or affiliated companies, and, in both Foundations, one member of the board must be a descendant of the founder, Villum Kann Rasmussen. Members of the board may serve for a maximum of 10 years (descendants up to 15 years) and are subject to an age limit of 75 years.
