Budget instruction
1. The VELUX Foundations (the VILLUM FOUNDATION and the VELUX FOUNDATION) support specified expenses to staff, equipment and materials, travel expenses and running costs concerning the relevant project .
2. In addition to this the Foundations will accept additional expenses of max. 5 % of the total budget as outlined above for unforeseen expenses and general administrative expenses that cannot be directly referred to as additional load on the Institute’s resources.
3. The Foundations also support specified extra expenses for administrative purposes that can be referred to as additional load on the institute’s resources, e.g. extra expenses to secretarial assistance, rent, IT, heating, electricity, telephone, fax, copying etc.
4. Apart from the amount mentioned in item 2 above, the foundations do not operate with a fixed, unspecified, overhead percentage, and expenses as those mentioned in items 2 and 3 may not exceed 25% of other project expenses mentioned in item 1.
