Grants – Gerontology and Geriatrics research
Since its inception in 1981, and until early 2010, the Foundation has supported gerontology and geriatrics research with funding of DKK 136 million granted among 137 research projects. The grants are made to cover equipment purchases, payroll costs and PhD and postdoctoral programmes, and for itemised operating expenses.
In addition, in 2009, two honorary awards, each worth DKK 100,000, were made to two researchers for their outstanding contributions to gerontology and geriatrics research.
